Trout Unlimited has been involved in shaping the policies and management of the Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP) since it’s inception. We were one of the initial groups sitting on the now dissolved Valles Caldera Coalition.

We currently are supporting a project on the preserve being run by Mike Anderson out of New Mexico State University to track the movement of brown trout in the Rio San Antonio. This work is being supported through an Embrace-A-Stream Grant.
