The Enchanted Circle hosted a river clean up on the Red River Oct. 3rd. Members picked up 13 large bags of trash and some big items such as tires and t-posts. Overall members were surprised by how little trash was found between Junebug and Fawn Lakes campgrounds. Big thanks to all who donated time, food, gloves and bags.

Help put New Mexico’s rivers away for the winter by removing the summer’s trash.  Trout Unlimited will be participating in  two upcoming river clean-ups.
On September 19th, the 10th annual Dia del Rio will take place on the Pecos River.  Come celebrate the rio by cleaning trash in the morning and a enjoying a BBQ picnic and entertainment at noon.  Meet at the Bank of Pecos parking lot at 9:30.

The Truchas Chapter Youth Education Program will join the New Mexico Department of Game and Fishing for a hunting and fishing event on September 25th (Friday) and 26th (Saturday) at Fenton Lake from9 am to 4 pm.  There will be shooting, archery, and fishing.
Saturday the 26th will also be a free fishing day.

Over the past 7 years various organizations andagencies have come together to help restore Rio Grande cutthroat trout (RGCT) habitat along Comanche Creek. Here is a chance for you to contribute to this important effort.
If you can’t come Friday, still come on Saturday. Rio Gande cutts are in the stream once again for fishing. Free camping is available.

Come get your hands dirty and help clean up the Pecos River.
Meet at the offices of the Upper Pecos Watershed Association, 78 Main St., Pecos, NM
Coffee and pastries from 8:30 to 9:00.
Barbeque to follow from 12:00 to 2:00 at the Jamie Koch Recreation Area. Bring the kids for fishing demonstrations. Raffle prizes for participants.
